Believe I’ve figured out the first transposition (to reposition the needles). Thank you to everyone giving clues for this, they were helpful eventually!
If Harry lets this through, my clue for people who were stuck on this step is: 2, 3, 4 and 4, 5, 6. A bit evil but should help in the end.
