The National Cipher Challenge

Bletchley Park

We are delighted to announce the date of the prize-giving for this year’s National Cipher Challenge which, as usual, will be held at Bletchley Park. Since this is the National Cipher Challenge we will announce it with a puzzle – see the foot of this message for the answer if you are impatient or can’t work it out!

The event will be held on the only date in the English calendar that is homophonic with a grammatically correct English sentence.

We are planning a day of events to include the award of medals and prizes. We will offer around 200 tickets for the event to the top individuals and teams of codebreakers based on the final leaderboard.

Since we do not collect your email addresses we will use the site messaging system to contact you at the end of the competition if we are able to offer you one of the tickets, so please do make sure you are familiar with it. We will be sending one or two messages to everyone shortly just to make sure you know how to use it.

If you have any questions about the prizegiving then please head over to the T.E.M.P.E.S.T. forum to ask them. We love to hear from you.

All the best,

The event will be held on March 4th (March Forth, geddit?)
