Oh goodie, a paradox! While we have strict rules about who can win prizes in the National Cipher Challenge we are very glad to welcome anyone who wishes to take part who doesn’t qualify. We have always had a number of cipher challenge alumni who continue to compete years after they left school, and many teachers and parents enjoy the thrill of the chase too.
This year we have finally got round to recognising this properly and we will be publishing a separate leaderboard for those competitors. If you are in this category then selecting the “non-eligible” checkbox when you register will ensure that you will appear in this elite category.
We love the fact that the National Cipher Challenge has become part of the calendar for some of you, and we look forward to giving your efforts and achievements the recognition they deserve!
