Congratulations to everyone who tackled our first practice challenge however you got on! We had 6215 submissions including over 1200 correct solutions to the trickier Challenge 1B, so it was a great start. We hope you found the case files helpful. We will release them throughout the competition to give hints and tips where we think they might be needed, but don’t forget to look at the Tips link on each challenge page as you may find that helpful in getting started with each round.
Remember that while you can get a certificate for the practice challenges, the overall leaderboard will only use your answers for Challenges 4 through 10, so you won’t hurt your standings by trying the first three as a beginner. They are great preparation for the competition challenge, which starts on 6th November.
In the meantime the story starts to unfold with Practice Challenge 2, which will be released at 3pm today (Thursday 16th October). There are already 7464 of you registered, and we are hoping to see more of you then!
Good luck and God Speed,
