Cracked it! Without any programming needed beyond basic Excel frequency counting and vlookup! Don’t over complicate things…a pack of cards and some patience are all that is needed. Got a bit stuck on 10A – programming would have helped here as I was being lazy and didn’t work as far as 13 initially. The case files were useful for 10B, although had already worked out the playing card aspect and cutting the pack into 2 squares, just not how to arrange in a grid – so thanks for 10.5!
I agree with the messages about giving your brain a break regularly – most of the break throughs came in between working on the ciphers when doing something else.
Looking forward to next year and maybe learning how to programme to speed things up.
