Hey,
I was wondering if there is someplace we could see transcriptions of the case files. For people with visual difficulties like me, all that beautiful cursive is too difficult to make out and it’s hard to avoid the feeling that I’m missing out.
I know I could simply upload the pictures to any free OCR app, but is there already transcriptions available? -
Yes there is. Once a challenge round ends the solution becomes available on that challenge page. You can reveal it on the challenge page as a plain text using the button labelled “Official Decrypt”. That should also be screen reader friendly, but if there is an issue, do let us know.
The reason we hide the solution behind a button is so that anyone who is late to a challenge round can still have a go at breaking it without accidentally seeing the answer first.

He (she) is talking about ‘Case Files’.
Personally, when they’re in an image format (JPG, JPEG, PNG, etc.), I save them to my desktop and then ask an AI (Gemini or another) to transcribe them for me. That way, I end up with editable text that I can work with. It’s a relief for my old eyes. -
The case files presented using fancy fonts are all either solutions, or, in the case of Casefile 3.2, a decrypt of information presented as text in Casfile 3.1 which can be easily broken using the Caesar wheel on the cipher tools page and will provide the required plaintext faster than going via an AI!

My reply was really intended to help WannaTry.
He (or she) is having difficulty reading cursive handwriting, such as in 2.3, for example.
So I was suggesting a general solution for converting text from an image into editable text.For 2.3 and subsequent versions, double-clicking zooms in to the maximum, but this isn’t always the case.
