Hi,
I have a question about the hint given regarding the challenge B for this week’s cipher (challenge 4). The hint states that the text has been divided into parts and then the letters got rearranged. I am wondering if the parts that got divided to get rearranged are the same equal length of letters, or whether some are longer than others.
Thank you for your help.
[Oooh, that would be telling. Try asking again later in the week if you still need to know! Harry]
I don’t know how much I can say, but try pages 45-47 in the BOSS cryptanalyst handbook (https://www.cipherchallenge.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/BOSS-Cryptanalyst-Handbook-with-index-V3-1.pdf). That should hopefully tell you what you need to know (and as for lengths of the parts, see if the ciphertext is padded!)
Harry, would you say that the official keyword for 4B is STYLES?
[I would! Harry]
