I wonder who is more evil, Madness or Harry.
This one wasn’t easy, and I had to tinker with and patch my usual programs to get it done.

Difficult to say, but have they ever been seen in a room together? Harry

Out of interest, has anybody solved 6A without checking the tip?

It would have been ‘dificult’ but we were actually told how to solve it!

Do you mean you had to alter your column solver?
If so try makig it more universal. (But maybe you use a spreadsheet.)

It just came down to solving a substitution cipher.

Certainly not me! Though Jodie’s tip had me attempting to solve a columnar transposition cipher for 20 minutes until I reread the tip and realised it was a standard permutation rearrangement.
