I solved 7A but have no idea what this means. I just joined the challenge recently so is there anything I need to know that happened before to solve 7B? Also, I am not sure what they mean by the excel special paste function. How do you use it to help solve the cipher?
idk how much will be blacked out but you don’t need excel to solve the cipher. use any text editor that allows you to move VERTICAL chunks of text around (e.g. Onenote)
divide the text into vertical chunks, with the number of chunks a determined number known as the key length
Another editor that allows moving vertical blocks is EDT (or “EVE”) on a mainframe running CMS.
