If you take the capital letters in order then put them in reverse order, you will get the word MURDER.

to do with the competition. See if you can solve them without hints.

If you solve Do Not post the plaintexts or state how to decrypt them.
If you want to prove you have a solve then maybe say something
like the Nth word in #1 is ‘whatever’ as long as you give a different
Nth word to someone else.

Good question – they are not ciphers in the general sense, that is no decoding need be done.
They are known as Stenographic ciphers – hidden messages within a text.

As these have been intercepted you need to figure out how to extract the message
in a set way, the communicants would know how.
